SCOTT WEILAND Gets 'Thumbs Up' From Judge
October 9, 2004MTV.com is reporting that VELVET REVOLVER singer Scott Weiland got the thumbs-up from a judge presiding over his probation-status-report hearing Thursday (Oct. 7) in Pasadena, California. He's due back for another check-in on December 17, according to the Los Angeles district attorney's office.
Weiland had pleaded no contest to the driving-under-the-influence-of-drugs charge in July, which stemmed from his arrest on his 36th birthday, October 27, 2003. The former STONE TEMPLE PILOTS singer's BMW struck a parked van, and as part of his sentencing, he was ordered to pay restitution to the owner of the parked vehicle, in addition to a $390 fine.
